God in Ancient China

Dear Friends,

Just like to share these resources that proves that Ancient Chinese worshipped the Israelite God before from 2250BC to 6 BC. The incident at the Towel of Babel was thought to have happened around 2242BC (Genesis 11:1-9).

Border Sacrifices (郊特牲)

These are Sacrifices of Calves made to the Supreme God. The emperor would have to fast 3 days before the day of ceremony. This ceremony was practiced until 1911 where the last dynasty ended. Muslims and Jews practice the same Sin Offering Sacrifices to God.

Ancient Chinese Characters

Righteousness was defined by a “Lamb” over “Me”. The bible says that Jesus is the Lamb that took away the sins of the world. (John 1:29) and that Jesus has clothed us with righteousness. More such Characters in the links below.

Temple of Heaven

This temple still exists in Beijing, China and was used by emperors to perform the Border Sacrifices. No Idols were ever found in this temple that was used as objects of worship. The Ten Commandment instructs against Worshippers worshipping Gods made of Gold, Silver or wood.

Confucius and Mozi both acknowledged the existences of one Supreme God (Shangdi - 上帝 ) that created the Heavens and Earth and ruled over all spirits.
